Camberley had been named 3 times previously before it was finally named what it is now; originally called Yorktown, then Cambridge and then ultimately Camberley in 1877.

The Royal Military Academy is prestigiously known for its contribution to the training of every officer the British Army has produced over the last 200 years, some of the more well-known figures being Princes’ William and Harry.

Camberley prides itself on the diversity of not just people but food, bars and pubs. Offering everything from Asian cuisines to Mexican and Latin cuisines alongside a plethora of traditional pubs, bars and cafes.

Unlike Camberley before the 19th Century, the new and Modern Camberley is now home to many attractions such as, the ‘Camberley Theatre’ where you can pick from a handful of plays to watch, ‘The Square’, being Camberley’s main shopping centre, ‘The Atrium’ the town’s biggest food and entertainment complex and ‘Arena Leisure Centre’, located right next to the shopping centre in the heart of town, popular amongst all ages.

Why move to Camberley:

Compared to Surrey Standards houses in Camberley are very affordable and great in value with the endless choices in property types ranging from modern and chic houses to traditional well-loved victorian terraces.

Frimley Park Hospital, located a short 7 minute drive from Camberley town centre, holds the title for being the first hospital in the country to be rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission in 2014. Therefore, you can expect any type of service/experience you get in the hospital to be top notch.

Transport:

Situated at a close proximity to the M3 into London, A30 towards Ascot and Sunningdale, A331 towards Guildford and A332 towards Reading, Ascot and Windsor, Camberley is the ideal destination for commuters from London and other neighbouring cities/towns.
With regular train and bus links, you can get to London Waterloo in just over an hour, however we recommend travelling via Farnborough, which is a mere 8 minute drive from Camberley Station, to avoid changes and irregular train times.
